Ha, I just saw Richard from the Veep, played by Sam Richardson, in a spoof about Mary J Blige’s Burger King commercial.
The Second City made the skit and released it on April 11, 2012.
In the skit, poor ol’ Richardson there sits in complete embarrassment and shock as he watches his colleagues dance as Mary J Blige, played by Nyima Funk, sings about chittlins, grits, all “wrapped up in a tasty cornbread, tortilla, fried in fatback.”
Although I’m not going to be as hard on Ms. Blige there about the likeness of the Burger King commercial to her recent interview with the former Madam Secretary Hillary Clinton, I must admit the Burger King commercial skit is funnier than a dog chasing his own tail.
